The
Beaufort County Community College Foundation has awarded the Chris Moffitt
Nursing Scholarship to Margaret Poston to attend BCCC this fall.
Poston,
31, of Washington, is a student in BCCC’s Associate Degree Nursing Program. A
graduate of Germantown High School in Germantown, Ind., Poston holds a
bachelor’s degree in television production from Loyola Marymount University.
After graduating from BCCC, she plans to continue her nursing studies and
obtain a doctorate in nursing practice.
“This
scholarship has lightened the financial stress of attending school and will
give me more time to be involved in the nursing program,” she said. “I thank
the scholarship donors for their support and generosity.”
Established
in 1999 by friends and family in memory of Chris Moffitt, this fund makes an
annual award to a full-time student enrolled in the Associate Degree Nursing
program based on academic standing. Chris Moffitt was a graduate of BCCC’s ADN
program.
