Established by
Lena Page in 1992 in memory of Robert C. Page, this annual scholarship is
awarded to a nursing student who demonstrates high academic achievement and
financial need.
Overholt, 55,
of Pantego, is a student in BCCC’s Associate Degree Nursing Program. A veteran
of the U.S. Coast Guard, Overholt plans to work for the Veteran’s
Administration as a nurse after completing his studies at BCCC. He and his
wife, Sarah, have two children.
“I would like
to thank the Page family for this scholarship,” he said. “This award will help
me to serve veterans, a deserving group of people.”
