Hannah Page Memorial Scholarship awarded to Knott

Gladys Yvonne Knott has been chosen by the Beaufort County Community College Foundation to receive the Hannah Page Memorial Scholarship to attend BCCC this fall.

Knott, 54, of Jamesville, is a student in BCCC’s Medical Office Administration Program. A graduate of Tarboro High School, Knott plans to re-enter the work force as a medical office administrator after completing her studies at BCCC. She and her husband, Randy, have two children.

“Thank you for this opportunity,” she said. “My educational pursuit would not be possible without your generous support.”

The Hannah Page Memorial Scholarship is given annually to a second-year student enrolled in the BCCC’s Medical Office Administration Program. Family and friends of Hannah Page, a long-time member of the BCCC faculty, established the endowment in December 1999.
